  • Project Coordinator

    Trachte Building Systems, Inc. is a 100% employee owned company and leading manufacturer of steel structure buildings for the Self-Storage Industry. Located in Sun Prairie Wisconsin, Trachte has an immediate opportunity for a Project Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, The Project Coordinator is the primary liaison between the client and our sales, manufacturing, and logistics organizations for building package order scheduling and shipment. They will also provide support for the Project Manager.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Monitor customer job-site preparation progress versus our engineering, production, shipping and field construction schedules. Advise Production Control and Project Management of any conflicts or changes requested by the client or contractor or required due to job-site readiness. Update information systems. Coordinate corrective actions.
    Maintain the Trachte Project Tracker for use as a reference by all Company functions.
    Communicate via email and verbally with clients, general contractors and erectors regarding job-site status and shipment coordination. Process delivery confirmations.
    Facilitate project progress meetings with engineering, production control, sales and project management.
    Coordinate shipments of materials direct to the job-site from vendors.
    Coordinate scheduling of erection subcontractors.
    Monitor erector progress and process payments to erectors.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Good verbal and written communication skills.
    Good organization skills and work habits.
    Demonstrated problem solving skills.
    Able to work with computer-based systems.
    Desire to be part of an effective team, focused on serving our Customers.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Associates degree in construction management or building design. Minimum of two years of experience in construction management, building materials delivery scheduling or job-site supervision. The ability to read and interpret building plans and construction details is a plus. Experience with ERP systems, Auto Desk software and Microsoft Office Products is preferred.

  • 3rd Shift Door Assembly Positions

    Trachte Building Systems, Inc. a leading manufacturer of steel building products has immediate needs in the Door Assembly Department on our 3rd shift. Trachte Building Systems Inc. is located in the Sun Prairie Business Park. The starting wage rate for these positions is $18.25 per hour including shift differential. We offer a comprehensive benefit package. Third Shift Regular Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

    Our Door Assembly workers perform a wide variety of work assignments including the following:

    •Assemble various types and sizes of rolling steel curtain doors
    •Operate cranes and forklifts to load and unload material to/from job centers.
    •Operate roll formers.
    •Welding various axle components when required
    •Operate manual door table.
    •The ability to read and interpret work orders and drawings.
    •Miscellaneous manufacturing duties as required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum experience of one to three years prior Sheet Metal work is preferred.   • 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

    Description:

    Trachte Building Systems, Inc. a leading manufacturer of Self-Storage steel structure building products located in Sun Prairie Wisconsin has an immediate opportunity for a Production Supervisor supporting our second shift manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will lead the second shift production operation with broad accountabilities in the areas of safety, production, quality, continuous improvement and employee engagement.

    Other responsibilities include:
    •Maintains employee adherence to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
    •Maintain a safety first priority and hold team accountable to safety guidelines at all times.
    •Approve absence requests for departmental employees. Complete weekly timecards. Evaluate necessary staffing and assign individuals to meet production requirements.
    •Assess and evaluate cross training opportunities and develop an implementation plan.
    •Assist in trouble shooting problems on shop floor with production reporting, find root cause/corrective action.
    •Communicate and elevate repetitive problems and potential solutions to operations team.
    •Trouble-shoot problems and assist with corrective actions.
    •Hold team accountable for meeting production goals.

    Requirements:

    The candidate we seek will have an Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. We prefer candidates with a track record of improving operating performance, strong safety engagement, process/ metric driven, and a continuous improvement mindset. Experience with ERP/MRP scheduling software and Microsoft Office products is preferred.

  • 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

    Description:

    Trachte Building Systems Inc. – Sun Prairie, WI

    Trachte Building Systems, Inc. a leading manufacturer of steel Self-Storage Buildings, located in Sun Prairie Wisconsin, has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic supporting our 2nd Shift manufacturing operations. Second Shift hours are 3pm – 11pm. Reporting to the Production Manager you will perform maintenance activities on machinery and equipment used in our production process.

    Ability to plan, work independently, execute, and follow up on needed mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and troubleshooting abilities. Will be responsible for planned maintenance activities and daily calls to ensure equipment up time is maximized.

    Must have experience in performing electrical repairs with 480Volt, 3 phase electrical, be able to read schematics, run conduit, and complete electrical circuitry.

    Able to perform machine installations, relocation of equipment, and startup sequences training operators in general daily machine maintenance requirements.

    Handles preventative maintenance including, but not limited to: general oiling and greasing of equipment.

    Requirements:

    The qualified applicant will have a two year Maintenance Mechanic certificate from college or technical school; five to seven years general manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong electrical and mechanical experience along with pneumatic and hydraulic hands on experience. Ability to work unsupervised, self-starter, team environment and able to handle deadline pressure. Must provide own basic hand tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license for insurance purposes.

    Trachte Building Systems, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of steel building products and has immediate needs for 2nd shift sheet metal production operators.  We are located in the Sun Prairie Business Park. The starting wage rate for these positions is $18.00, including shift differential. Second shifts hours are M-F, 3 PM – 11 PM.

    Our Sheet metal workers perform a wide variety of work assignments including the following:

    • Set up and operate a variety of metal forming equipment including Brake Presses, CNC turret punch press and roll formers and door assembly equipment.
    • Operate cranes and industrial power trucks to load and unload material to/from machines.
    • Perform mig/tig welding and assembly activities.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum experience of one to three years prior Sheet Metal work is preferred.
